On April 7, 2025, the departure ceremony of the delegation of future leaders of China's wool industry to visit Australia was held at the residence of Mr. William Zhang, Consul General of Australia in Shanghai, marking a new step in cooperation and cultural exchanges in the wool industry between China and Australia.

For more than half a century, Australia's wool industry and China's wool industry partners have established a solid friendship and contributed great economic value to each other. July 2024 coincides with the milestone of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Pure Wool Mark. The Woolmark Franchised Dealer Seminar and Summit Forum was successfully held in Shanghai. Australian herdsmen representatives came to China to deeply understand the current situation and market demand of China's wool textile industry. In September of the same year, a delegation composed of 10 young future leaders of the Australian wool industry visited China and attended the Nanjing Wool Market Conference held in Tongxiang.

As part of this exchange plan, a delegation of 10 future Chinese wool industry leaders visited Australia this year. This trip includes visiting farms in central and western New South Wales and being invited to the Sydney Royal Easter Exhibition (Australia's largest agricultural event) as a special guest of the Royal Agricultural Association. The 10 day trip will also include a visit to the Wool Farm in Victoria, the Wool Auction Center, the Australian Wool Testing Authority and the Wool Museum.

The Chinese delegation includes members from China Wool Textile Association, Nanjing Wool Market, Zhangjiagang Industry Association, Nanshan Textile, Tianyu Wool Industry, Red Sun Group, Xin'ao Group, Zhihe, Jinhaitai and Uniqlo.

With the departure of China's future wool industry leader delegation, the cooperation between China and Australia in the wool industry will be closer.
