How To Realize "Artificial Intelligence+Textile" In Donghua University
Recently, Donghua University Journal Council Annual Meeting and University Enterprise Cooperation Forum was held in Shanghai. Discipline experts, relevant principals of scientific and technological journals, authoritative database institutions and representatives of more than 200 journal governing units shared and discussed the latest technology trends and achievements transformation in the industry, creating a community for the development of industry and journal clusters.
The reporter noticed that more than 10 experts from Donghua University focused on the topic of "artificial intelligence+textile" at this forum. The scope of the experts' discussion ranged from using AI to innovate aerogel fibers to using AI to use textile technology in aerospace, biomedical, super energy storage and other scenarios.

Chen Nanliang, a professor of Donghua Textile College, made a breakthrough in the field of flexible materials and sought to create a new economic growth point for the textile industry. The team developed innovative technologies such as structural reinforcement and high-density warp knitting with high strength and density, which were successfully used in the Chang'e relay satellite Queqiao. Chen Nanliang said, "In 2024, the revenue of the industrial textile industry will face great challenges. The development of special raw materials, the connection between production and demand, and processing technology and equipment are the three major pain points".
2024 is the first year of artificial intelligence application. Professor Wang Huaping of Donghua Textile College believes that China has a huge manufacturing foundation, and the main position of "artificial intelligence+" manufacturing is in China. Under the fiber power strategy, the polyester fiber industry is the focus of China's fiber industry and international competition, "It is the future trend to break through the interconnection of man, machine, material, method, environment and measurement, and establish a polyester fiber digital twin manufacturing system based on the principle model and data model of forming engineering.".
Professor Cheng Longdi of Donghua Textile College comprehensively presented the textile intelligent technology and its AI application prospect, and provided "welding" and "filling" methods for data breakpoints and blind spots in the unmanned transportation and intelligent monitoring of the whole process fiber flow.
The experts from Donghua Textile College also discussed "the research and development of woven tracheal stent for tracheal fistula sealing", "the development technology of high-quality sports and leisure knitted fabrics", "the research progress of fashion technology and intelligent clothing for the middle-aged and elderly", etc.
Liu Shuhui, vice president of Donghua University, said that the University's Journal Council will build a platform for in-depth cooperation between schools and enterprises in scientific research, talent training, patent achievement transformation, promotion and application, etc. by creating an industry and journal cluster development community.
