On January 16, the 2023 China Textile Talent Conference was held in the National People's Congress Conference Center. With the theme of "talents leading to drive the construction of China's textile modernization system", the conference brought together nearly 200 industry leaders, college experts, and enterprise representatives to discuss the scientific objectives and specific measures of textile talent training.

The conference was hosted by the China Textile Industry Federation and organized by the Textile Talent Exchange and Training Center.

Talents help the construction of textile modernization system

With the deep integration and mutual promotion of science and technology and talents, the construction of China's textile modernization system will usher in a new high light moment of high-quality development.

At the meeting, Sun Ruizhe, president of the China Textile Industry Federation, made a speech saying that Chinese style modernization is the biggest politics and realizing new industrialization is the key task. In the process of China's textile industry promoting the construction of a modern textile industry system with integrity, advancement and safety, how to achieve "high-quality talent development to help China's textile modernization" is the core issue.

Sun Ruizhe said that talent is the most important thing in the world. First of all, it is necessary to solve practical problems, achieve stability and make good use of talents; Secondly, grasp the development trend, win the initiative in the future, and gather talents is the fundamental support. At the meeting, Sun Ruizhe put forward three expectations: first, we should cooperate to build a high-level talent training system. Follow the law of talent growth and promote the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent. Second, activate and create high-quality talent development ecology. Guided by innovative value, ability and contribution, we will improve the scientific, fair and objective evaluation and incentive mechanism. Third, we should empower and improve the ability of high-quality talent service. We should enhance the awareness of talent service and do a good job in talent training, exchange and development.

Li Lingshen, Vice President of China Textile Industry Federation, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Scientific and technological innovation helps the construction of China's textile modernization industry system". Starting from the basic situation of China's textile industry, Li Lingshen expounded how to build a modern textile industry system with integrity, advancement and safety. To build a modern textile industry system, we must adhere to the real economy as the priority, and prevent from turning from reality to emptiness; Adhere to the principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability and step by step, instead of "seeking foreign countries while pursuing the big"; Adhere to the integration and development of three industries, and avoid separation of opposites; Adhere to promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and cannot simply exit as a "low-end industry"; We should adhere to open cooperation and not create things behind closed doors.

At present, compared with developed countries, China's overall scientific and technological innovation environment still has room for improvement and needs further optimization. In the future, scientific and technological innovation needs to face the world's scientific and technological frontier, build a more perfect talent training system, train more high-level researchers, and contribute wisdom and strength to major scientific research. Li Lingshen then focused on the breakthrough scientific and technological achievements in China's textile industry, and said that a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial reform will certainly promote the formation of a new world science and technology center and economic center; The new scientific and technological innovation and the transformation of industrial paradigm also provide a historic opportunity for us to "cross the road and overtake" into the high-end of the global industrial chain.

Convergence of ideas and cultivation of characteristic talent team meeting the needs of the industry

How can science and technology, education and talent blend to better promote the development of the industry? At the conference, many speakers, such as college educators and enterprise leaders, gave their own answers.

Zhou Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, delivered an expert report entitled "Adhere to the new mode of in-depth integration of industry and education and innovative talent training in the industry". Subsequently, the conference entered the experience exchange link. "If enterprises want to cultivate and retain talents, they need to provide spiritual food for talents." "At present, there are still problems in the integration of industry and education, such as integration without agreement, cooperation without cooperation, lack of close connection, and unsustainable cooperation." Xue Jiabao, president of Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology, pointed out at the meeting that the first is to set new goals for talent training. Give full play to the guiding role of the market, the leading role of the major, and the main role of students, and set up a new talent training goal that focuses on both "professional ability" and "career skills". Second, we need to build new programs for talent training. According to the concept of "general knowledge and professional penetration, theory and practice penetration, professional ability and professional skills penetration", we design a multi-dimensional curriculum system, guide students to independently choose course directions and skill modules according to personal development planning, and effectively improve the matching degree of knowledge and professional needs.

Li Yongjiang, Chief Executive and Human Resources Officer of Zhejiang Rifa Textile Machinery Co., Ltd., said that as an important base for the company's scientific research and development and talent training, Rifa Intelligent Textile Equipment Research Institute has formed a fully functional enterprise research institute by increasing investment in technological innovation, introducing high-end talents in the industry, and gathering innovative resources. In terms of talent cultivation, taking product managers as an example, we start from technicians, train product managers from product knowledge, market research, project management, business plan, enterprise management and other aspects in the first year of workshop, the second year of commissioning, the third year of service, the fourth year of market, and the fifth year of design.

At present, the virtual simulation technology is solving the problems of textile and clothing vocational education, making students dare to do it and schools dare to let it go, which greatly increases the opportunities for campus practice. Wang Cheng, president of the Textile College of Zhejiang Textile and Clothing Vocational and Technical College, said that in order to meet the requirements of textile modernization development, Zhejiang Textile and Clothing Vocational and Technical College has taken the construction of virtual simulation training base as a demonstration, guidance and radiation driven project at the school level to promote the overall transformation and upgrading of professional digitalization and accelerate the construction of digital resources. The effect is remarkable and the future is promising.

At the meeting, the launching ceremony of the 2024 China Textile and Clothing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was also held. It is reported that the China Textile and Clothing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is a national event hosted by the China Textile Industry Federation. Since its launch in 2019, it has been successfully held for three times.

The competition has settled in Xiliu Town, Anshan, Liaoning Province, Shengze Town, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, Nantong International Home Textile Industrial Park, Puyuan Town, Tongxiang, Zhejiang Province, Keqiao District, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, Qingpu District, Shanghai and other places, and has carried out road show contests including "digital supply chain", "fashion consumption", "material technology", and "design innovation".

More than 1280 entries were collected in the three competitions, of which more than 500 entries were selected into the textile industry innovation and entrepreneurship project library. The award-winning projects have established a negotiation and docking relationship with investment institutions and industrial clusters (parks) through the special docking meeting of the mass entrepreneurship and innovation competition. Some projects have been implemented, and some projects have obtained investment and financing opportunities and strategic cooperation.

The conference released the list of excellent units and individuals of talent construction in China's textile industry in 2023 and the list of "textile talents in the new era".
