Belarus Leather Industry Exports To China With Great Development Potential

Recently, Li Yuzhong, president of the China Leather Association, said at the exchange meeting between the China Leather Association and the Belarusian National Light Industry Kang Caien that China and Belarus have complementary advantages in the leather industry and still have great development potential in the future.

Li Yuzhong pointed out that this year marks the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belarus. Over the past 31 years, China and Belarus have maintained fruitful cooperation in trade, investment, science and technology, culture and other fields. They have reached broad consensus and achieved fruitful results in expanding bilateral exchanges, implementing the "Belt and Road" initiative, building international industrial parks, scientific and technological information cooperation and other fields. The all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Belarus was established on September 15, 2022. The relationship between the two countries has achieved a historic leap and become a model of new international relations. China Belarus friendship is unbreakable, and economic and trade cooperation enjoys good momentum and huge potential, which also lays a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation in the leather industry.

China's leather industry will continue to adhere to the concept of peace, development, cooperation and win-win, and build a new pattern of development of China White leather industry. China Leather Association is willing to work with Belarusian leather industry colleagues to trust each other, make joint efforts, carry out cooperation in various fields, keep watch and help each other in the complicated international environment, jointly meet and respond to the opportunities and challenges brought by the development of the times, and inject new impetus into the cooperation and development of the two countries' industries.

At the same time, in view of the importance of international cooperation and experience exchange in the Chinese white leather industry, the desire to promote the harmonious development and growth of business activities between enterprises in the industries of the two countries, and the common interests of business activities of enterprises in the industries of the two countries, in compliance with the principles of equality and mutually beneficial cooperation, China Leather Association signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between China Leather Association and Belarus National Light Industry Kangzen with Belarus National Light Industry Kangzen.

The Memorandum defines the framework conditions to be followed by both parties in implementing cooperation in organizing joint projects, promoting trade, investment and innovation activities, supporting industrial enterprises and promoting Belarusian products. The two sides expressed interest in strengthening cooperation in promoting bilateral trade, investment, joint activities and other aspects.

China and Belarus said that in the future, they will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, deepen the friendship between the two countries, work hard to turn the contents of the memorandum into reality, promote the leather trade between China and Belarus, and promote the development of the leather industry in both countries.

It is reported that Belarusian leather enterprises under Kanzern mainly produce cattle leather, horse leather and pig leather. Belarusian leather can meet the needs of domestic leather product manufacturers, and exports more than 4 million dollars of products to China every year; 90% of the shoes produced in Belarus are leather shoes, with nearly 3000 varieties. Kangzern produces more than 5 million pairs of shoes annually, accounting for 40% of Belarus. In addition, it also produces handbags, backpacks, small leather goods and other products.
