The 2020 edition of the STANDARD100 eco environmental friendly textile product certification standard issued by the international environmental textile association early this year will take effect on all certified products from April 1st. The new standard extends the scope of application and improves the limit of related substances. The international market of textile exports will face a great challenge, and the relevant export enterprises should attach importance to it.

The main contents of the new edition are: monitoring new nitrosamines and nitroso substances in the material; the herbicide glyphosate and its salts have been included in the standard catalogue after a year's monitoring, limiting the total content of harmful elements arsenic and mercury; the total limit value of o-benzoic acid two esters is tightened, and is limited to <500mg/kg from the original total <1000mg/kg. PFOA and perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) substances are worthy of note. They are beyond the requirements of our national and international standards. New monitoring materials, pesticides and restricted substances include ethoxylaniline, mycophenolate and zinc borate.
