The pitional period of the regulation is 5 years. After the expiration of the pition period, products that do not meet the requirements will not be allowed to be sold or imported in the EU market.

NPE is a nonionic surfactant with good permeability, emulsification and dispersing properties. It is widely used in the process of cleaning, dyeing and washing in the process of textile production.

According to relevant information, NPE is the most commonly used detergent and dyeing auxiliaries in textile industry, accounting for more than 80% of China's market share.

However, NPE is a globally recognized environmental hormone with persistence and bioaccumulation. Once released into the environment, it will last for a long time, and can enter the food chain, affecting the normal reproduction and development of organisms, which can lead to fewer sperm counts in men.

At the same time, once the textile NPE enters the environment, it will decompose into stronger toxic environmental hormone, NP (Ren Jifen), and decompose more toxic NP (Ren Jifen) and other ingredients.
