Since the British government took the lead in putting forward the idea of creative economic development at the end of last century, the concept of creative economy has rapidly become popular in the world, and has been raised to the level of strategic development by developed countries such as the US, Europe and Japan.
In the UK, the creative industry has become a pillar industry that is comparable to the financial services industry.
The forum takes the Paradigm Innovation and policy options of the development of creative industries in the Internet perspective as the theme, focusing on the strategic goal of building Shanghai into the global influential innovation center, taking the future development trend of China's creative industries in the Internet environment as the core, highlighting the dynamic interpretation of high-level policies, docking with the international creative industry organization, and bringing together pioneer figures such as Internet innovation, creative public funding, industrial design, fashion culture, media publishing, intelligent tourism and other creative practices, and exploring how to achieve the core strategy of creative industries such as culture, technology, economy and urban integration development, so as to contribute wisdom to the healthy development of the global creative economy.

Reporters at the scene learned that the management college, as the organizer of the forum, has been actively involved in the economic research and management practice of Shanghai's economic development and industrial pformation.
In May this year, the school of management founded the first creative economic management periodical "creative economy and management", striving to build a platform for the integration of creative economic resources, demonstration of creative economic achievements, creation of creative economy, and integration of ideas and industrialization.
The forum invited Richard Lewis, chairman of Edinburgh Culture Committee, Shao Zhiqing, deputy director of Shanghai economic and Information Committee, and Shanghai city.
