Reporter: Hello, Feng Feng. As an important foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Department in our city, CCPIT has become the management and Coordination Department of the exhibition work in the city. Can you talk about your work idea first?


Feng Wenqing: Hello. At the end of 2013, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government decided to transfer the management and coordination functions of the exhibition industry to me.


Qingdao Council for trade promotion is the first department to carry out exhibition business and investment promotion in our city. After more than 20 years of grind and accumulation, we have not only established a cadre contingent that is good at fighting hard and dedicated, but also has rich channels of work connecting five continents and covering both home and abroad.


In accordance with the requirements of the party's comprehensive deepening reform in the third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and accelerating the improvement of the modern market system, we must adhere to the market orientation of the development of MICE industry, give full play to the decisive role of the market in the exhibition resources and play a better role in the government, and gradually form the pattern of exhibition run with enterprises as the main body, which should be the long-term development direction of the exhibition industry in our city.


Aiming at this direction, our task is not only to stimulate the vitality of the market, but also to maintain the orderly and orderly development of the market. Based on this concept, we will carry forward the spirit of Qingdao's trade promotion, which is "self pressurization and positive action". We must persist in scientific orientation, rational planning, and careful service, handle the relationship between the government and the market, do something for nothing, strive to create a fine environment, effectively stimulate the vitality of the market, superimpose the dividends of reform, the potential of the market and the power of innovation, and form a strong force to jointly build an upgraded version of the exhibition economy in our city.


Reporter: from a comprehensive perspective, what kind of situation is facing the exhibition in our city?


Feng Wenqing: at present, for the exhibition work, it is a time that can take advantage of the trend and make a great progress. It is also a period when competition is intense and a little careless. On the one hand, with the development of economic globalization and the continuous improvement of China's economy, many of the world's resources are paying attention to and flowing to China. The production and service resources in China are frequent and huge in volume. Our country has not only maintained the status of the world's factories, but also has the largest volume of goods trade in the world. As a weathervane of manufacturing demand index and service industry prosperity index, the exhibition industry is more active and the exhibition is more prosperous. On the other hand, more and more cities recognize the role of "engine" and "consumer magnetic field" in the exhibition industry, and have listed the exhibition industry as one of the priority industries to support and build. Many of the first and second tier cities have put forward the goal of building a national or Regional Convention and Exhibition Center City, and have issued a series of supportive policies to guide and encourage them, showing the situation of "competing for all kinds of competitions" and "thousand boat races".


From our city MICE industry According to the specific situation, despite the great development in recent years, it is still in the stage of "butterfly change" which is climbing over the hill and tackling difficulties. In general, the scale, volume and influence of the exhibition are in the second camp. Of course, we also have our own advantages, such as strong industrial foundation, superior location advantages, beautiful natural environment, strong outgoing conditions and so on, all of which create conditions for us to achieve "bend overtaking". The key is how to seize opportunities, give play to advantages and formulate measures.

Reporter: can you talk specifically about the priorities of this year's work?


Feng Wenqing: this year, we will focus on seven aspects:


(1) promoting the overall design of benchmarking international. Taking advantage of the brand advantage of "cross oceanic bridge" and taking the advanced exhibition countries and regions such as Singapore and China Hongkong as an example, through the on-the-spot investigation and in-depth exchanges, I will learn from their advanced ideas, draw lessons from the essence of their work, transplant their advanced practices, carry out the overall framework design of exhibition industry with the vision of the world, international standards and high standards, and speed up the transformation and upgrading of the exhibition economy in our city.


(two) innovate and organize a number of high-end service exhibition projects. Focusing on the major strategic deployment of the financial industry, the blue economy, the maritime Silk Road, the knowledge economy and the emerging industries in twenty-first Century, we actively established and introduced the golden Jialing wealth forum, the global innovation knowledge economy conference, the China International Fishery exposition, the second world 3D printing technology industry conference, the 2014 World 3D Printing Technology Expo, the seventh global service outsourcing conference and the international cruise summit.


(three) promoting the standardization of exhibition industry in our city. Actively promoting the application of exhibition projects in our city represents the UFI certification of international quality, and effectively promotes the brand and competitiveness of the project.

Through "going out" and "coming in", we strengthened liaison with famous exhibitions companies such as the British reunion exhibition, the French intelligence exhibition, the German Frankfurt exhibition and the Munich exhibition, and promoted them to establish branches and cooperation agencies in Qingdao through joint ventures, cooperation and mergers and acquisitions.


(five) vigorously implementing the marketing strategy of exhibition destination cities. We should give full play to our international liaison advantages, strengthen cooperation with domestic and foreign disseminating agencies, and choose to organize a "Qingdao Convention and Exhibition destination city" promotion conference in a famous exhibition city. We will carry out the exhibition city marketing activities in three dimensional, all-round and multi-channel ways, attracting all parties' attention, attracting high-quality resources, and continuously enhancing the visibility and reputation of our city as the destination of exhibition.


(six) continue to promote the marketization reform of exhibition industry. Through the formulation of new policies and new methods, we will constantly stimulate the market vitality of various exhibition subjects and promote the formation of a market led, healthy, orderly and win-win development pattern. We will actively promote the market-oriented reform of government sponsored exhibition projects and encourage participation in market competition.


(seven) strengthen exhibition training. As one of the effective starting points for serving mice enterprises and enhancing their comprehensive competitiveness, mice training is to strengthen cooperation with exhibitions and training authorities at home and abroad, carry out multi-level and multi-modal mice training, and explore a long-term mechanism for the establishment of a timeliness and institutionalization of mice vocational training.

Reporter: what's new in our city this year? Exhibition Does the policy come out?


Feng Wenqing: the key to maintaining the sustained and healthy development of MICE industry is to improve the long-term mechanism and enhance endogenous motivation. At present, we are studying and compiling two documents: one is the medium and long term development plan. According to the requirements of the municipal government's deployment, we have drawn up the "opinions on accelerating the development of Qingdao's high-end exhibition industry" through active research in the past few years. This opinion will play a guiding role in guiding the long-term development of the city's exhibition industry, and is currently being further revised and improved. The other is the support measures for exhibition funds. It is a common practice for many exhibition cities to set aside special funds to support the development of MICE industry. In view of the fact that our old method has expired, we are working with the Municipal Finance Bureau to compile new measures. Special funds are limited and can not be exhaustive. Our principles are: "good steel is on the knife edge", play the role of "42 orders of a thousand jin", strive to achieve reasonable subsidies, use science, reward fairness, and strive to achieve the maximization of the leveraging effect, demonstration effect and related effect of special funds.


Reporter: can you introduce some major exhibition events in our city this year?


Feng Wenqing: this year, a prominent feature of our convention and exhibition is the large scale international convention and exhibition activities. There are two world-class activities: one is the 2014 Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition. After several years of careful preparation, next month will be a "cover up". In half a year, it is expected to bring you a wonderful, benefiting, distinctive and high-level horticultural event. The other is the 2014APEC trade ministers' meeting and the second senior officials' meeting, which will be held in May. This is also a major conference with extensive international influence. It has a large number of participants, high specifications and rich contents, which is of great significance to the promotion of the city's brand and the development of international trade.


In addition, there are nearly 200 large and small exhibition activities in our city this year. clothing The "old faces" such as Zhou, Aviation Expo, fishery Expo, Ocean Festival, sailing week, auto show and construction Fair also have "new faces" of the service industry exhibition such as golden Jialing wealth forum. We will adopt the principle of "classified guidance and preferential cultivation", focusing on the exhibition activities involving blue economic development, wealth center construction and high-end service industry promotion, and actively implement the development strategy of "internationalization, specialization and branding", and strive to be bigger and stronger.


Here I would like to give you a brief introduction to the "golden Jialing wealth forum" launched by our city's new creativity. The first forum will be held in June this year. With the theme of "finance and real economy" and wealth management as the main topic, we will invite Nobel prize winners in economics, domestic and foreign financial circles and well-known entrepreneurs to attend the meeting.
