The Ministry Of Commerce Studies Measures To Stabilize Foreign Trade

Vice Minister of Commerce and International Trade Zhong Shan, deputy negotiator, said on the 20th that we should maintain the stability of foreign trade policies and accelerate the introduction of relevant policies and measures. In addition, we should further optimize the internal and external environment for the development of foreign trade, increase the response to trade frictions, and improve the level of trade facilitation.

On the 20th, the Ministry of Commerce held the National Import and Export Conference and the 111th Canton Fair Preparatory Meeting in Nanchang to comprehensively summarize China's foreign trade work in 2011, deeply analyze the domestic and foreign situations facing the development of foreign trade, and study and deploy the 2012 foreign trade work and the preparations for the 111th Canton Fair.

Zhong Shan said at the meeting that the foreign trade situation in 2012 was more severe and complex, the task was more arduous, and doing well in foreign trade was more challenging. The international economic situation will remain complex and severe in general, recovery The instability and uncertainty of; The imbalance, uncoordinated and unsustainable contradictions and problems in the domestic economic development are still prominent; Factors such as sluggish market demand, intensified international competition and tighter international trade environment pose new challenges to China's steady growth of foreign trade, structural adjustment and promoting balance.

In fact, the growth rate of import and export in January "dropped" to a new low in two years, which to some extent reflects the worrying foreign trade situation of the whole year, and this situation has also attracted the attention of the leaders of the State Council and the Ministry of Commerce. Since February alone, relevant people have said on many occasions that they will maintain the stability and continuity of foreign trade policies and study specific measures to stabilize foreign trade growth.

Premier Wen Jiabao visited import and export enterprises in Guangzhou a few days ago express The import and export policy should be generally stable. If adjustment is needed, it should be more encouraging than restrictive. Chen Deming, Minister of Commerce, said twice when he went to Anhui for research and answering questions from reporters this month that while maintaining the overall stability of import and export policies, he should study measures to stabilize foreign trade, effectively reduce the tax burden on import and export enterprises, and increase financial support.

Zhong Shan stressed again on the 20th that he will focus on "stabilizing growth, adjusting structure and promoting balance" in foreign trade, and do a good job in improving policies, optimizing environment and adjusting structure. Zhong Shan said that this year and in the future, the focus of foreign trade structure adjustment is to optimize the "two layouts" of foreign trade and promote the "three constructions" of foreign trade, that is, to optimize the international market layout and domestic regional layout of foreign trade and promote the construction of foreign trade transformation bases, trade platforms and international marketing networks.
