Central Enterprises Net Profit Report Card

PetroChina, China Mobile, CNOOC, Sinopec and Shenhua Group respectively rank net profit of 124 billion 180 million yuan, 97 billion 270 million yuan, 74 billion 230 million yuan, 72 billion 120 million yuan and 46 billion 860 million yuan, ranking the top five of the most profitable central enterprises, and China Unicom's bottom line with a loss of 4 billion 140 million yuan.


Data show that the total assets of 102 central enterprises reached 24 trillion and 427 billion 460 million yuan last year.

Net profit

The total amount amounted to 852 billion 270 million yuan, the total net profit attributable to parent company was 553 billion 420 million yuan, and the total amount of tax paid was 31.7% higher than that of last year, reaching 1 trillion and 484 billion 40 million yuan.

Xu Baoli, an expert of the SASAC Research Center, believes that the "total report card" of the central enterprises is actually "bright" compared with previous years. The overall development trend and performance growth of the central enterprises are in line with the macroeconomic trend of China and are ahead of schedule.


According to the net profit of the parent company, 6 of the 102 central enterprises are losing money.

Up to 4 billion 140 million yuan, followed by Datang Group loss 3 billion 30 million yuan, Sinosteel group loss 1 billion 470 million yuan, China Aluminum Industry deficit 280 million yuan, China printing group loss 40 million yuan, rainbow group loss 20 million yuan.

In the 2010 annual report on industry operation released by the SASAC, the communication industry was affected by the fierce competition in the industry, the increase of terminal subsidy costs, the expansion of the network scale, and the increase of depreciation and operation cost.

Value preservation and appreciation

As a matter of fact, the total value added rate of the 102 central enterprises is 108.9%.

There are 8 unrealized central enterprises, namely, Sinosteel, Chinalco, Datang, rainbow, China printing, China Heng Tian, China Railway Construction and China Huaneng, of which 5 are deficit companies.

In the air pport industry, 3 central enterprises achieved a record high revenue, with a net profit of 23 billion 530 million yuan, an increase of 17 billion 200 million yuan over the previous year, and the average value of state-owned assets was 145.5%.

Among them, China National Aviation net profit reached 12 billion 370 million, Eastern Aviation net profit 6 billion 50 million and South China Aviation 5 billion 110 million.
