Children's Wear

Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of industry and Commerce announced the quality monitoring of some children's clothing and casual wear products sold in the 1 quarter of 2010. A number of substandard products were exposed, and some of the products were found to be decomposed with aromatic amine dyes.

It is reported that the monitoring is carried out by the national standard of supervision and spot checks implemented in 2009, and the results are unqualified, which is applicable to the verification of the sampled objects, that is, the same commodity sold by the same manufacturer for circulation.

A total of 60 groups of children's clothing were selected. After examination, 33 of the samples were not found. The 90 groups of casual clothes were sampled, and 37 of the samples were found unqualified, of which 2 were pure label.

The internal quality is not qualified in the following aspects: first, the safety performance exceeds the standard; two, the color fastness is not qualified; three, the content of fiber is not consistent with the real content; four, the product instructions are not standardized.

3 groups of samples were found toxic dye.

Banned decomposable aromatic amine dyes are a kind of toxic and harmful dyes to human body. In the long term contact with human body, if dye is absorbed by skin, it will affect human health.

The monitoring found that 3 groups of products can decompose aromatic amine dye unqualified. Among them, "billion YISDENG" boutique children's clothing samples produced by Clothing Co., Ltd. (Wenhua clothing city of Foshan), detected 21mg/kg benzidine (highly toxic aromatic amine); Zhuhai naive commercial and Trade Co., Ltd. "Niuniu pudding" summer girls single shirt samples, Dongguan City Hall Lin Chang garment printing factory produced "flying dog" boy TC samples, detected 2,4- two amino toluene.

The industry and commerce department pointed out that the cause of the detection of decomposed aromatic amine dyes may be the use of unsafe and environmentally friendly dyes and auxiliaries in the production process in order to reduce costs.

11 sets of samples pH value is not qualified.

The unqualified rate of spot check pH value ranks the first place in the safety performance disqualification project, and a total of 11 groups were found to be unqualified.

The national mandatory standard stipulates that the pH value of textiles directly contacting the skin should be between 4 and 7.5.

The human skin is weakly acidic to prevent the invasion of germs. Therefore, the pH value (acid base) of textiles is beneficial to the protection of human skin between slight acid and neutral.

If the pH value in textiles is too high or too low, it will damage the skin's balance and resistance, causing skin allergy or inducing infection, and making the skin vulnerable to other pathogens.

The pH value of the sample that was not up to standard was all alkaline.

The pH value of individual children's clothing is up to 9.2, and this index is not qualified, which will seriously affect children's skin health.

Color fastness is the most prominent problem.

Color fastness is the firmness of textile during its use or processing, which is subjected to external factors such as washing, friction, water immersion, sweat, sun and so on. It is an important indicator of clothing's internal quality.

The spot checks show that the color fastness of clothing is the most prominent problem. The color fastness of clothing directly affects consumers' health and safety, and at the same time, it will also cause other clothes to stain.

The color fastness of children's clothing is not up to standard, which directly affects children's health and safety.

The monitoring found that the color fastness of the 55 groups of clothes did not meet the standard requirements, involving doll king, double plus OK, sparrow, Mu Yang Tong, Ke Ke duck, big eye frog and other brands.
