The World Expo

Application: according to BIE, a country wishing to hold World Expo shall not apply to the BIE for nine years prior to the date of its establishment, and pay 10% registration fee.

The letter of application includes the opening and closing date, the theme, and the legal status of the organizing committee.

BIE will inform the member governments of the application and inform them of their intention to participate in the competition within 6 months from the date of arrival of the newspaper.

Inspection: 6 months after the initial application is submitted, the chairman of the BIE Executive Committee will organize the inspection according to the regulations to ensure the feasibility of the application.

The inspection activities were chaired by a vice president of BIE, attended by a number of Representatives, experts and the Secretary General.

All costs shall be borne by the applicant.

The contents of the survey are: theme and definition, opening date and time limit, location, area (total floor area, upper and lower limits to be allocated to exhibitors), expected visitors, financial feasibility and financial guarantee measures, calculation methods of exhibitors' cost and financial and material allocation, cost reduction for exhibitors, assurance of policies and measures for exhibitors, attitude of government and interested organizations.

Voting: if the preparatory work of the host country is supported by the delegation, the plenary meeting will be selected according to the usual eight years before the date of the bid.

If more than one host country is invited, the plenary meeting will be ballot by secret ballot.

If a country votes for 2/3 votes after the first round of voting, the country will be granted the right to host.

If no application has been received, 2/3 votes will be held again, and the number of countries with the least number of votes in each poll will be eliminated, and then the host country will be determined according to the principle of 2/3 votes.

When only two countries compete, the host country is determined according to the simple majority principle.

Registration: the state that obtains the right to host the exhibition shall be registered in accordance with the general rules formulated by the BIE and the document of acceptance and acceptance defined in the draft contract (Draft).

Registration application should be submitted to BIE five years before the opening date.

This is also the time for the host government to invite invitations to other countries through diplomatic channels.

Registration means that the government of the host country formally assumes responsibility for its application and recognised the standards set by BIE in order to ensure the orderly development of World Expo and protect the interests of Member States.

BIE upon receipt of the registration application, it will charge 90% of the registration fee to the host country government. The amount will be determined according to the rules adopted by the BIE plenary meeting.

The world exposition is a distinctive forum, which encourages people to play a creative and active role in participation. It encourages people to combine science and emotion and dedicate all kinds of new concepts, new viewpoints and new technologies that contribute to human development.
