AW2025 Beijing Fashion Week Opens

The painting is bright and colorful, creating a new chapter. On the evening of March 19, the opening ceremony of AW2025 Beijing Fashion Week and the Somerset East 2025 Fashion Conference were held in the center of the royal palace, officially opening a meaningful decade.

Liu Meiying said in her speech that this season Beijing Fashion Week will launch a series of premieres, fashion exhibitions and cultural exchange activities, link with major business circles in the city, jointly create a new experience of "national fashion and internationalization" fashion consumption for all, lead the new consumption trend in the capital, and add new momentum to fashion consumption. In recent years, with its profound cultural heritage and strong innovation vitality, Beijing has pushed forward the construction of a cultural center in depth, and focused on building an international consumer center city, providing broad space and fertile soil for the vigorous development of the fashion industry. In the past nine years, Beijing Fashion Week has actively promoted industrial integration, built a bridge of cooperation, and promoted the high-quality development of Beijing fashion industry. In the future, Beijing Fashion Week will shoulder the multiple missions of rejuvenating the intangible cultural heritage, leading the fashion industry, and international cultural exchanges. AW2025 Beijing Fashion Week "Fashion Enjoyment Festival", as one of the key activities with the theme of "Fashion · First Show in Beijing" in the four seasons of 2025 Beijing Fashion Week, was launched simultaneously with the "Fragrance" Encounter Wangfujing series of commercial and cultural experience activities.

At the opening ceremony, the show themed "Ziqi East" brought by Somerset International's high-end customized women's wear brand Somerset was amazing. Rooted in the deep soil of oriental culture, the brand perfectly integrates oriental flavor with western tailoring, and demonstrates the integration of the profound connotation of Chinese traditional culture and modern fashion charm through the color, shape and details of clothing with unique design concepts and exquisite production techniques. The millennium craftsmanship of intangible cultural heritage workshops is deeply explored. The hidden lines of Suzhou embroidery outline the delicate texture of mountains and waters. The inlay of mother of pearl creates a star like dream light and shadow, and the mineral dyeing restores the color of Song porcelain, striving to innovate and reconstruct the western silhouette under the oriental aesthetic system.

From March 19 to 24, during the AW2025 Beijing Fashion Week, well-known brands and excellent designers from China, France, Italy, South Korea, Georgia and other countries will jointly present cutting-edge fashion trends, and release fashion categories covering men's clothing, women's clothing, children's clothing, sportswear, high-end customization and so on. At the same time, this season's fashion week has set up an independent section for children's wear for the first time, and jointly with CTV Yamei to create a KIDS WEAR children's fashion release platform. The release activities of famous brands and designers, such as ageless model JEFEN Giffen, Zhuojaeren × Hongguan Cheongsam, Annua&Butuo Blue, Jiangnan Tribe, Sancun Shengjing, Longmanchen AM/JASMINE, Hu Sheguang, Hao Jia, YOU JI YOUNG, will appear in the main venue of the Royal Palace Center one after another. The "Youth Designer Support Plan" of Beijing Fashion Week, together with the Fashion Circle magazine FASHION NOW Circle, selected 17 outstanding young designers for joint exhibition. In addition, the "Future Moda China Italy Fashion Night" activity jointly organized by Beijing Fashion Week and the Italian China Council Foundation College will invite six Italian art colleges and VICEDOMINI and other Italian local well-known brands to participate in the event to show the creativity and talent of young designers and artists around the world. The closing show will be led by the French independent designer Irakli Nasidz é, who has cooperated with Dior, Chanel and other international brands for many times, and presented a high fashion show with Georgia's centennial jewelry brand Zarapkhana, drawing a successful end to this fashion week.
